Why did you choose teaching as a career?
I knew early in life that teaching was the career path the God was going to take me down. I loved school growing up and was blessed by several teachers and coaches that invested in me on a daily basis. I get the privilege now to be the one investing into others. Being a teacher has taught me so much over the past 12 years – kids want expectations and respect to enjoy each day, mistakes are ok – learn from, laugh a lot, celebrate the “little things.” Listen often, and be thankful! I am truly blessed and honored to be a teacher!

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
I could not do this alone- I am so blessed to have incredible co-teachers and faculty and supportive parents! Austin Elementary is awesome!!
